About

This summer, How to Train Your Dragon swoops back into Bodiam Castle with a brand-new quest inspired by How to be a Pirate, the second book in Cressida Cowell's much-loved series.

Set off on a swashbuckling adventure with young Viking Hiccup and his dragon Toothless as they take on the Pirate Training Programme, tough, daring, and essential if they're ever to become true Vikings!

Grab a treasure map, rally your crew, pick your dragon, and set sail on an action-packed adventure trail bursting with pirate‑themed challenges and mischief. Along the way, hunt for hidden treasure, crack riddles, and try your hand at games like cannonball bowling, sword fighting, and pirate ring toss.

The How to Train Your Dragon series, written and illustrated by Cressida Cowell, has captivated audiences worldwide with its warmth, humour, and unique illustrations. Whether you're a long-time fan or discovering the dragon world for the first time, this adventure is perfect for the whole the family.

Before your voyage ends, be sure to stop by the shop, stocked with books and pirate, dragon, and castle themed goodies to take home and remember your day by.

The How to Train Your Dragon series is written and illustrated by Cressida Cowell and published by Hodder Children's Books. Text and illustrations © Cressida Cowell.
