A trip to Bewl Water splashes out a multitude of watery options, including canoeing, rowing, pedalos, boat trips and a waterborne adventure playground! This giant reservoir also offers camping and has a cafe and a bistro to keep you well fed.

Full Throttle Boat Charters provides half-hour and one-hour boat trips from Rye Harbour, as well as private charters.

At The Hub at Quarry Farm you can canoe, kayak, row or stand-up paddleboard. You can also camp at The Original Hut Company and enjoy the on-site shop, café and bistro.

If that all sounds not-quite-extreme enough for you, it's time to head for Camber and give Camber Kitesurfing a call. They run lessons and courses in kitesurfing, kite buggying and power kiting – as well as the somewhat more serene paddleboarding.
