About

St Mary’s is a Grade I Listed church and was founded in 1115 to serve the community which had grown up around the Abbey.

You'll struggle to miss the impressive, three-metre Battle Tapestry.

It’s a haven of peace and a church of great historical importance. Rare wall paintings, Crusaders’ crosses carved by their swords in a pillar, the Battle tapestry and more. Come and visit us!
