The Jungle Book Christmas at Bateman's

About

Enter the jungle and a world of warmth and colour, tradition, and creativity as you experience 'The Jungle Book Christmas' at Bateman's this year.

The world-renowned author of 'The Jungle Book', Rudyard Kipling, lived at Bateman's for over 30 years and Bateman's is still to this day very much a cosy family home. With a reputation for quality and craftsmanship, Bateman's Christmas displays bring visitors back year after year. This Christmas, discover the animals from The Jungle Book swinging, climbing, hiding, and jumping around the house.

Back by popular demand, there will be a Christmas exhibition of artworks by local artist Claire Fletcher, available to buy just in time for special Christmas gifts. In celebration of The Jungle Book Christmas 2024 and inspired by the original Detmold watercolour illustrations, Claire has created original new illustrations of The Jungle Book. This exclusive exhibition of artwork will be on display from Saturday 7 September 2024 to Sunday 5 January with Christmas illustrations added from 16 November to tie in with the decorated house.

The Oast house shop will be stocked with a wide array of Christmas decorations, cards, gifts, books and stocking fillers and the Mulberry Tea-room will be offering warming Christmas treats.

Saturday 16 November to Sunday 5 January (closed 24 & 25 Dec), 11am to 3.30pm.
