About

The Owl, Camber is situated at the base of the glorious sand dunes of beautiful Camber beach. In just a few steps from our door, you stand on a sandy dunes pathway leading up onto miles of golden sands.  We are an independent gastro pub with rooms to stay, offering fine local produce perfect to create beautiful food through our seasonal menus where seafood is our speciality to match with fine local wines and ales from our bar.

Dining and Bar: As well as a well stocked bar showcasing all things locally brewed and distilled. The Owl is also a great place to eat, with a keen focus on everything local, our fish from local small boats, meats from farms around us and locally grown seasonal vegetables from Kent and Sussex. Our menus aim to highlight and showcase all that this beautiful area has to offer and that can be supplied by the small independent local suppliers we support our kitchen’s aim is on providing beautiful food.

Relaxed or more formal dining: We offer a relaxed environment to serve beautiful food and drinks, from alcoves and nooks, cosy fireside tables in winter, our colourful dining room and outside tables for summer. Your “best friend” can join you if they are happy to join the relaxed chilled atmosphere.  We cater for small or larger parties and can offer private dining experiences for larger parties pre-booked with us. Just call or email us to discuss what you are looking for.

Looking for somewhere to stay? The Owl has beautiful double and twin rooms all with En-suite bathrooms. After your perfect night sleep you’ll be woken up to the fresh smell of coffee and choices of a continental style and the ‘Owlers’ Full cooked breakfast to set you up for the day ahead whether that is for a lazy beach day, active water sport morning, leisurely stroll through the wide open spaces of the beach, a hike through the dunes, a refreshing swim at sunrise,  watching a sunset to amaze or be lost to the night-time stars in the unending expanse of sky.

Camber offers an outside to stun and enjoy through the year - in Winter, Spring, Autumn or the glorious Summer months. And so very close to many award winning local wineries to tour and indulge, water sports activities, and of course our medieval town of Rye with its independent shops and history, original and beautiful situated within 10 minutes by car/bus/taxi, or choose to enjoy by a gentle cycle or walk through time in 1066 Country.
