Tea Concert in Battle Abbey: The Primrose Piano Trio

Battle Abbey School, Battle, East Sussex, TN33 0AD
Tea Concert in Battle Abbey: The Primrose Piano Trio

About

Three members of the Primrose Piano Quartet make a welcome return for this year's ever popular tea concert in the beautiful setting of Battle Abbey's Abbot's Hall.

The programme celebrates two anniversaries: Shostakovich is featured in one of his most popular pieces, the sonata for cello and piano, written during a happy period of a brief love affair and brimming with melodies, colours and dramatic effects. Ravel is celebrated with his stunning violin showpiece, "Tzigane". The three come together for an eternal favourite with audiences, Schubert's glorious Piano Trio in B flat.

Delicious cakes will be served in the interval, complementing the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
