De La Warr Pavilion

About

The spectacular modernist 1935 Grade 1 listed Pavilion sits just a stone’s throw from the prom on the seafront in Bexhill.

The Pavilion is free to enter, open every day and welcomes everyone. It presents a lively programme of free exhibitions by contemporary artists, live music and comedy gigs, films, talks and tours and events for children and young people both inside and outside the building.

The Café Bar, with balconies overlooking the sea, serves light lunches and sandwiches made to order using locally sourced ingredients as well as home baked cakes and scones and speciality teas and coffees. You can also visit the shop for books, limited editions, and designer home accessories and souvenirs and browse Music’s Not Dead, an independent record store tucked in a corner of the café for your all vinyl!

Unimpressed with Bexhill and really totally appalled at the state and presentation of a grade 1 listed building - The De La Warr Pavilion. This once Iconic Modernist building built by Sackville... Read full review
