A new festival of making at venues throughout Sussex
14-22 June 2025
Sussex Craft Week is a new festival of making 14-22 June 2025.
Organised by ROSA Magazine in partnership with national craft centre West Dean College, Sussex Craft Week celebrates the county’s remarkable talent for creative and specialist craft, and sets out to reconnect us with our craft heritage.
The festival features a lively programme of exhibitions, courses, demonstrations, talks and tours at major Sussex arts venues including West Dean College, Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft, Hastings Contemporary, Towner Eastbourne, Hove Museum of Creativity and Newlands House Gallery.
Book yourself on to a course, creative retreat, demonstration or taster session to try out a new craft skill.
Look at the online map of open workshops or join a Studio Safari and visit some of Sussex’s top makers and see them at work.
Visit special Midsummer and Summer Solstice events in Ticehurst and Lewes with a craft focus.
Connect with Sussex craft heritage on a day trip to making cordage or baskets from foraged materials.
Join the circle at KnitFlicks at the cinema and knit or crochet while watching a film.
A full programme of events is available to download at sussexcraftweek.com, along with an interactive map and calendar.
Buy the printed ROSA Magazine guide online or in WHSmith, galleries and bookshops across Sussex.
