Treat yourself, or your favourite book lover, to an early gift this year: a peaceful two-night retreat in a twinkly Christmas cabin near historic Battle.
A couple of quiet nights away at this busy time of year offers a chance to escape the Christmas rush and head into the celebrations feeling rested rather than rushed.
Inside your cosy cabin, all bedecked with vintage decorations, you'll find a beautifully wrapped book, hand-picked especially for you by Ian at our lovely local independent bookshop, Rother Books. There'll also be a selection of locally sourced festive delights to tuck into as you settle down for some literary R&R.
Just remember to look up from your book every now and then. Each cabin has its own stargazing window, so as you ponder your novel's engrossing plotline, you can enjoy a little celestial wonder from the comfort of your bed.
And if you fancy venturing out, there's more festive magic on your doorstep. The village Christmas tree farm has a gorgeous shop filled with unique and enchanting decorations.
