Scarecrows in Olympic hoops at Battle Scarecrow Festival

About

Now in its 12th year, the Battle Festival Scarecrow Competition has a classic theme this year –  "The Traditional Garden Scarecrow" – to complement Beautiful Battle's Summer Flower Displays. The scarecrows act as a curtain-raiser to the wonderful Battle Festival which runs for two weeks from the end of July.

Alongside the colourful creations of the Yarn Bombers, these traditional garden scarecrows contribute towards a festival that showcases the best summer floral displays that Battle has to offer...putting a smile on everyone's faces!

At least 20 entries radiate from the Abbey Green, displayed in the formal planted areas; in shop windows and outside business premises; and in private front gardens throughout Battle. This is the perfect way for you and your family to discover our beautiful town. There is always the occasional surprise when you find one grinning at you over the top of a hedge!
