    Road Directions

    Robertsbridge is a small village clearly signposted off the main A21 in both directions. Therefore, if coming down the A21 from London, follow the sign to Robertsbridge and drive up the High Street through the village. The George Inn is located on the right hand side with a large car park in the front just past the clock tower. From the Hastings direction, turn off the A21 sign posted to Robertsbridge, and The George Inn is on the left hand side as you come down the High Street.

    Public Transport Directions

    Robertsbridge has a main line train station with regular services to London and the Coast. The station is a short 5 – 10 minute walk from The George Inn. A regular bus service is also available from the High Street.

Hilaire Belloc also wrote the book in 1902 “The Four Men” which starts “as I was sitting in the George, at Robertsbridge, drinking that port of theirs and staring at the fire”.
