Looking for something to do this October half term? Visit Merriments Gardens for our Pumpkin Trail, taking place during half term week from Monday 26th October.
Wrap up warm and explore our four-acre RHS Partner Garden as you follow the trail and see how many pumpkins you can spot along the way. It’s a lovely way to get outdoors and enjoy the gardens as they begin to take on their autumn colours.
Autumn is arriving at Merriments
October is a beautiful time to explore Merriments Gardens. As the season changes, you can expect autumn colour throughout the garden, crisp leaves underfoot and a completely different atmosphere from the summer months.
Take your time wandering through the gardens, cross our Monet-style bridge, stop by the koi pond and enjoy the changing colours of the season. Dogs are welcome too, so the whole family can come along.
Warm up with a seasonal drink
After completing the Pumpkin Trail, head into our Conservatory Cafe for something warming. Our seasonal drinks will include a pumpkin spiced latte and white hot chocolate topped with Halloween-inspired marshmallows – perfect for an autumn day.
You can also enjoy breakfast, lunch, homemade cakes and barista coffee before or after your visit to the gardens.
Pumpkin Trail: October half term week, from Monday 26th October 2026
Dog friendly: Dogs are welcome in the cafe and gardens
