Step aboard for an unforgettable evening of intrigue, deception, and drama!
The year is 1953. Signalman Harry Godfrey has been found dead in his box at Tenterden — and the killer may be sitting just a few carriages away. DCI Thomas needs your help to untangle the web of lies and secrets before the murderer escapes down the line.
As the train steams through the Kent and East Sussex countryside, you and your fellow passengers will study evidence, question the suspects, and piece together the truth. Is it greed, jealousy, blackmail, or betrayal that drove someone to murder?
DCI Thomas will set the scene for the evening as you arrive at the station from 6pm, and the train of intrigue will depart Tenterden Station at 7 o'clock sharp!
At journey’s end, you’ll cast your verdict. Will you uncover the real culprit… or let the killer walk free? The train arrives back in Tenterden at approximately 9.45pm
There are two options for your evening as you travel in the steam train destined for Bodiam and return:
Accommodation is at tables 4 people, so you may find yourself sharing the clues with strangers on the train - who knows, you may end the evening as new friends!
Dressing in period 1950s costume or accessories is entirely optional, and actively encouraged!
Developed in partnership with The Bexhill Light Operatic and Dramatic Society (BLODS), this special murder mystery evening has been written specifically about the Kent & East Sussex Railway, and profits from the evening will be used benefit both organisations.
