Introduction to calligraphy workshop

About

In this workshop led by local artist Alina from Creative Feel Designs, you'll be taught how to use modern dip-pen calligraphy to create stationery in the peaceful surroundings of Bateman's. In the first half of the session, you will spend time getting familiar with the materials and learning the basic strokes of calligraphy by practising uppercase and lowercase alphabets. Afterwards, you will move on to learning about composition and layout, lettering freehand and creating stationery designs to take home on the day.

This course is perfect for complete calligraphy newbies as well as those who have tried their hand at calligraphy before and need a reminder of how much fun it can be!

Calligraphy beginner kits will be available to purchase on the day from Alina in addition to the workshop at £35. Payments for the kits can be made by cash and card.

2-hour session, £30 per person. Admission to Bateman's is included in the ticket price.
