We are delighted to welcome back Scarlett and her incredible etchings onto reclaimed materials. Truly unique and unmissable!
'Into the Forrest' is Scarlett Woodman's first solo exhibition, which she is excited to be presenting at the Red Door Gallery. Immersing the viewer in her works created from her exploration and fascination of the natural world, they will find themselves surrounded by graceful Birches and mighty Oaks, etched into the surfaces of an intriguing mix of materials. These hard, heavy objects, once used for construction and now salvaged from the landscape, will be almost indistinguishable once transformed with trailing branches into something serene and delicate.
Through this process, Scarlett hopes to draw more attention and care to the natural world, by displaying not only its strength, beauty and resilience, but also its fragility.
