Hastings Country Park Nature Reserve

About

A fabulous nature reserve with stunning coastal scenery situated within the High Weald Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Explore ancient woodland glens with their unique biodiversity and rugged coastal paths.  Conservation grazing and sustainable management helps make this one of the most important nature reserves in the country.

A leaflet containing a detailed map of Hastings Country Park and the numerous walks within it is available from the Tourist Information Centre, or you can download it here. A new straw bale visitor centre will open in 2020.

Please note Ecclesbourne Glen is not accessible from the East Hill because of serious, and ongoing, landslips.
This route is likely to be closed for some time, so access to Ecclesbourne Glen is only viable from the car park in Barley Lane, or further east from the Firehills.

We enjoyed our visit but we chose to drive here as we had seen reviews of accessible paths (as one of our group uses a wheelchair). The accessible path runs out pretty soon so would not recommend for... Read full review

My wife and I drove to the car park at the northern end of the nature reserve and set-off walking on a baking hot summer day. Far too hot for the hills and dales so we ended up spending some time... Read full review
