Inking out loud – a celebration of alcohol ink art

Red Door Gallery, 58 Cinque Ports Street, Rye, East Sussex, TN31 7AN
photograph of brightly painted ceramics in the shape of rabbits, penguins, bears and love hearts.

About

An exhibition by Debbie Hughes.

Alcohol ink is a fluid painting technique which creates a saturation of vibrant colours.

Born and bred in Ashford, Kent, Debbie graduated in Fine Art at the University of Kent at Canterbury in 2002. The married mother of three discovered the beauty of alcohol inks whilst recovering from breast cancer. Many of her paintings reflect parts of her journey to recovery, seeing life with renewed eyes and reflecting the abundance of colours and beauty within our world.
