Add Fungi Walks at The Original Hut Company to your Itinerary

Assorted fungi foraged in the Sussex countryside

About

The Original Hut Company is a unique collection of hand built Shepherds Huts sited in woodland on the 200 acre family farm, with an on-site shop, café and bistro The Hub. The huts are beautifully finished offering comfortable cosy and user friendly accommodation for up to 5 people in each.

This year, foraging expert Geoff Dann is scouting the land at The Original Hut Company in preparation for possible catered foraging events in the future. He will be spending 2 hours every other Tuesday morning searching for fungi and other edible wild food, and inviting a small number of people to join him.

There are no guarantees what we will find, and whatever we do find will be shared among the group on an ad-hoc basis, for people to take home. Geoff will also teach people about whatever fungi we find, edible or not. Please also feel free to bring some fungi with you, which he will identify and discuss with the group.

As these are pilot sessions, he is charging just £10 per person (significantly less than his established workshops, so this is a bargain – if experimental!).

Dates

Tuesday 25 August
Tuesday 8 & 22 September
Tuesday 6 & 20 October
Tuesday 3 & 17 November

All sessions start at 10am and last two hours.
