In this workshop led by local artist Alina from Creative Feel Designs, you'll be taught how to use calligraphy and watercolours to create your own Christmas cards in the cozy surroundings of Bateman's House Kitchen. The first half of the session you will spend getting familiar with the materials and learning the basic strokes of calligraphy by practicing uppercase and lowercase alphabets. Afterwards you will move onto learning how to add watercolour painting and creating Christmas designs to take home on the day.
This course is perfect for complete calligraphy newbies as well as those who have tried their hand at calligraphy before and need a reminder of how much fun it can be.
Calligraphy beginner kits will be available to purchase on the day from Alina in addition to the workshop for £35. Payments for the kits can be taken by cash and card.
Friday 8 and Saturday 9 November, two workshops running per day at 11am–1pm and 2pm–4pm.
Two-hour sessions, £30 per person, ten people per session.
