Battle Festival: Festival Fiesta

About

Launching Battle Festival 2018 is an afternoon of fun for the whole community!

From 12-2pm there will be a fantastic array of colourful events and activities for the whole family to enjoy on the Abbey Green.

You'll be able to experience theatre inside a life-sized inflatable whale with Circo Rum Ba Ba; share your memories with the amazing juggling Memory Man; and peek inside the Octopot for a seafood surprise; while We'll Need a Bigger Boat explores notions of belonging and community with the help of a shark.

We will also have dancers, live music, and plenty of surprises in store including high energy dance from the fabulous Tomboogie and a special surprise from our local Rock Choirs. At 2pm Battle Abbey will open its doors to the general public free of charge where the fun continues inside Battle Abbey and on the Abbey Green until 4pm.

Yarn bombers ahoy! Yarn creations will be appearing on the Abbey Green, bollards will be sporting scarves and hats, pom-poms will be everywhere and woollen bunting will be flying high. Nothing is safe from our knitters so prepare yourself for a woolly riot of colour!

In case of inclement weather all the activities on Abbey Green will be moved to Battle Memorial Hall so the fun can continue.
