Rye is renowned for many events throughout the year. In addition to the annual Rye Festival in September, the town hosts many other exciting events including: the Rye Bonfire in November; the Rye Mayor Making ceremony in May; the Rye Society of Artist's Summer Exhibition; the new Rye Sea Pageant in October and Rye Bay Scallops Week in January.
