About

Award-winning artist and writer Dan Thompson tells the story of England Now, as he sets out to write 100 poems about 100 places. A journey from an Ancient Egyptian temple in Leeds to Margate Caves, from Brixton Market to a park bench in Penrith. At this event, you will be able to tell the stories of your England and to hear Dan's poetry reading. The workshop is FREE.

You will also have an opportunity to see the famous HASTINGS EMBROIDERY exhibited for the first time after decades in storage. The exhibition is accompanied by the immersive media installation by Tim Hopkins and specially commissioned music piece by Robert Thomas. Entry to the exhibition - £3, under 26 free.
