About

THE BUTCH MONOLOGUES, LAST STAND
Summer Tour 2021
An extraordinary collection of stories that has been selling-out shows for the past eight years is now on its final leg. This is a last chance to see real-life testimonies from butches, masculine-presenting females, transmen and gender rebels based in the UK, USA, Caribbean, Ireland, Australia and more, gathered by writer Libro Levi Bridgeman and directed by Julie McNamara.
Originally a collaboration between Hotpencil Press, Vital Xposure and The Drakes, The Butch Monologues first toured in 2015. Since then it has be staged at venued and festivals worldwide, including the UK, Ireland and New York Abron Arts, La Mama, Outburst, Shout!, Homotopia, L Fest, Just Like a Woman. The show has been presented 3 times at WOW on London's Southbank. Following a tour to Australia in 2019 at Midsumma Festival Theatreworks and Mardi Gras Seymour Centre the company brings the show back to the UK for a final live performance and to online audiences across the globe.
