About the night

Doors will be open from 7PM for this event and the comedy is scheduled to start at 8PM. If you've purchased a ticket which includes a meal, you'll receive this in the interval, which will last about 40 minutes. Our hot meals come with 2 options: meat or vegan. For this event, we'll be serving chilli con carne over a bed of white rice. If you have any questions about the ingredients, please contact us in advance.

About the comedians

Jonny Awsum, headliner
Jonny Awsum is an award-winning comedian who has charmed audiences all around the world with his high-energy performance style and unique brand of musical comedy. After building his reputation on the UK comedy circuit, where he is a regular headliner and closing act, Jonny shot to national fame on Britain's Got Talent. Following BGT, Jonny enjoyed a whirlwind 18 months including a sell-out five-star reviewed run at the Edinburgh Fringe, a starring role in his first pantomime, and tour support to both Lost Voice Guy and Tape Face on their hit UK theatre tours.

Neil McFarlane, support act
Relentlessly and unspeakably middle class, Neil has given up claiming in his act that he comes from Glasgow because he actually comes from Bearsden, which is a posh suburb of that city and therefore doesn't count. He has a reasonable day job, comes from a very secure and stable background with a good education and a high standard of living, and his parents are both still alive and happily married - all of which, from the perspective of artistic integrity and creative angst, are matters of intense irritation to him.

Neil McFarlane has had all his jabs and frequently keeps his clothes on. Allow him gently to divert you from the horrific truth of your own existential plight and occasionally use the word 'seepage'.

Kevin McCarthy, compere
Kevin Mccarthy has been a comedian a long while, all his life in fact. But only in the late eighties did he make it his career.

His career to date has covered the full gambit of the comedy world, indeed the world at large, working in such far-flung places as South America, North America, the Caribbean, Europe, The Middle East, and even Afghanistan. He has entertained all-comers…. kids, troops, Hells Angels, audiences from 10 to 45,000.

His reputation as a funny and importantly reliable act is acknowledged throughout the business both as a stand-up comedy set performer and perhaps more highly still as a compere/M.C. His experience and ability to connect to any audience is almost legendary.
