An exhibition of art and jewellery inspired by the beauty, strength and fragility of nature, by Khoa Mahon and Scarlett Woodman.
Both Khoa and Scarlett take their inspiration from the natural world and it is their exploration of this that drives their creativity.
Khoa creates silver jewellery embellished with freshwater pearls and gemstones for elegant and sophisticated women to embrace their unique styles. Each piece is inspired by the natural forms and textures which reflect the beauty of nature captured in a moment of contemplation.
Scarlett contrasts natural with manmade as she uses reclaimed building materials as her canvas. Her unique process of painting and then scratching back into the surface of these harsh, heavy objects - allowing the material itself to become the natural forms - always creates a softening effect. Through this, Scarlett aims to show the strength, beauty and resilience of nature, whilst also acknowledging its fragility.
Khoa and Scarlett have been exhibiting together across the South East since 2017. The forms, textures, materials and delicacy of their work mean they greatly complement one another. They hope you enjoy the show!
