Wake up with the birds and experience the magic of the dawn chorus
As part of our special 24-hour Centenary Bioblitz, this early morning walk offers a rare opportunity to immerse yourself in the sounds of nature and discover the incredible diversity of birdlife that calls the National Pinetum home.
What to expect:
Join expert ornithologist Christine George as we listen to and record the songs of both resident and migratory species. Keep an ear out for the melodic tunes of firecrests, wood warblers, song thrushes, dunnocks, treecreepers, woodpeckers, and many more.
This guided walk is perfect for birdwatchers of all levels, from seasoned enthusiasts to beginners keen to learn more about our feathered friends. Christine will share fascinating insights into bird calls, behaviours, and habitats as you stroll through the tranquil pinetum at a truly magical time of day.
Spaces for this event are limited so early booking is recommended.
