To mark the 950th, each Thursday, and alternate Saturdays, stitchers in the Almonry building at the north of the High Street in Battle will recreate the origin of the town in the form of a 3 metre long tapestry, modelled on Bayeux. The project is supported by a Rother Anniversary Grant. Help to stitch in fascinating historical scenes. All are welcome to have a go, no skill needed. Meet local artist and Embroiderer Tina Greene. Email us for details of Saturday dates and any other enquiries.
