Shutter closes on Big Summer Photo Comp

The Hastings Adventure Golf big summer photo competition has ended and Patrick Kavanagh from Elphinstone Road, has been crowned star snapper, taking home the top prize of £500.

Suzanne Jones and Jackie Milton came in second and third place in the inaugural photo competition, winning £300 and £200 respectively.

Kate Richards, general manager of Hastings Adventure Golf said: “Our big summer photo competition proved very popular, so it was difficult for our judge Natalie Evans of Bloom Chique Photography to choose an overall winner. However, in the end it was decided that Patrick’s cleverly executed photo entitled 'My very strong daughter Jessica and I’ captured the spirit of our seaside town in summer and fitted perfectly with our ‘Crazy Seaside Adventure’ theme.

“The quality of entries was fantastic and we hope to make this an annual summer competition that also raises money for a local charity.”

Winner Patrick Kavanagh said: “ I am really thrilled to have won. I’m often down on the beach with my two daughters taking silly photos so this competition wasperfect for us!”

The competition, run by the popular crazy golf complex, also raised £150 for local charity The Winkle Club, which supports a variety of local causes.
