About

Ever wanted to try and play the steel pan drums?

Due to popular demand we're bringing the talented musician Jim Bernardin back to Hastings and St Leonards to host two FESTIVE STEEL PAN DRUM WORKSHOPS on Thursday 14th December.

There will be two sessions running on that day at W.AVE ARTS, The Compound, 161 Bexhill Road , West St Leonards

Beginners (if it's your first time) 2.30-3.30pm
Intermediate (if you've had a go before) 4-5.30pm

Have you always been curious about these brilliant Caribbean instruments? Then this workshop is for you!

Open to beginners and intermediate players, in this workshop Jim will teach the group a little about the steelpans, and get everyone playing a tune together by the end of the session.

Jim runs bespoke multicultural-influenced percussion workshops, and remains an active musician on steel pan and drum kit in the genres of Latin Jazz, Caribbean, Afro-Cuban and Brazilian music.
