Open Evening: Fri 9 Aug 6:30-8:30pm.
A fascination with philosophy, psychology and spirituality informs Sarah Lavelle's work which focuses on portraiture and figuration. Recently a finalist on the 2019 Sky Portrait of the Year award, she has also exhibited at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters exhibition, Mall Galleries, London and other venues. Mhairi Lockett draws inspiration from DIY ethos, using hand painted typography, rhyme, rhythm and moving image to advocate for social change and encourage action, believing art and craft are synonymous with personal and political power.
