Andy Smith and BBE records

7th March 8pm - 1 am
£7 Tickets via Resident Advisor
A three hour set from one of the most skilled and versatile DJs around! Backed by BBE Records head honcho Lee Bright!
Andy has been named in Music Radar as one of the Top 20 Greatest DJs of All Time. He was the first DJ to release a multi-genre mix album on a major label. His seminal mix-CD The Document hit the streets back in 1998 and became the soundtrack for a generation who’d heard Coldcut's Journeys By DJs but needed to hear more – The Document filled the void.
This appreciation of different genres made Smith the ideal person to provide samples for Portishead’s first two albums. He went on to make his name as their international tour DJ – reflecting their respect for both digging and hip-hop scratch DJ-ing. Hip-hop elements formed the basis of Portishead’s unique sound.

That Music Quiz

10th March 7.30pm
£2 per player
Expect five rounds of audio, pictures, and cunningly themed questions from genres and decades of every hue. It's £2 per player, with a maximum of six players per team (3-6 recommended), and it all kicks off around 7.30pm
Booze and vinyl related prizes will be won. And don't forget the Austerity Raffle, the one-off draw with a multiple choice question hanging on it, where one lucky player could take home pockets full of silver!
Booking recommended. To book please contact info@marinafountain.co.uk.
