Local artist Anna Maria Nabirye and collaborator Annie Saunders invite black women from across Hastings and Rother area to participate in UP IN ARMS by bringing a friend of another race to engage in a conversation about their friendship.
Anna Maria and Annie are multi-disciplinary artists who work across performance, visual art, fashion, social practice, theatre, and film. UP IN ARMS has been developed out of their experience as activists, creative collaborators, black and white women respectively and most importantly as friends.
The use of the word woman is trans-inclusive always.
