Hastings Week will return in 2022. We will update this page when we have further information.
Hastings Week, 9 October - 17 October 2021
On 14 October 1066, one of the most famous battles in English history took place - the Battle of Hastings. Today the town recognises its rich history and its diverse culture with a week full of celebrations for all ages, finishing in spectacular form with the Hastings Bonfire celebrations.
The weekend of the 9-10th October sees the return of the Classic Car Show revving it's way on to the Stade Open Space, and by Friday the vintage and classic tractors will arrive for a fish and chip run! Rather take in the scenery? Join one of many guided heritage and history walks taking place across the town throughout the week, including the Stade Fishing Quarter.
As this is Hastings, dressing is up is to be expected, but will you opt for a 'Weird Wednesday' or a 'Frock Up Friday'?
In Battle, site of the historic battle itself, don't miss the return of the The Battle of Hastings - Visit 1066 Country, where 500 reenactors recreate the drama and intensity of the legendary conflict and you can adventure into the encampments of the Saxon and Norman armies.
