Sanctuary Festival - the new name for Festival by the Lake - takes place this year at Hastings Museum & Art Gallery.
Bringing you the usual mix of fantastic live music from some of Hastings' best musicians, spoken word poets, talks, workshops, food and fun for kids.
Collaboration is one of our themes this year, and we'll be announcing some very special artist collaborations over the next few weeks so keep an eye out!
We are also celebrating the opening of an exciting new exhibition at the Museum, co-curated by the Refugee Buddy Project, with a special British Museum Spotlight Loan. 'Crossings: community and refuge' brings the moving Lampedusa Cross by Francesco Tuccio and Issam Kourbaj's poignant boat artwork, 'Dark Water, Burning World' to Hastings.
Organised by Hastings Community of Sanctuary, and raising funds for Hastings Supports Refugees, your support is as vital as ever. Entry to the festival will be free, but please support our crowdfunding campaign, which is live now and will run through to the event.
