The London Mozart Players return to Hastings for the second concert in their 'LMP by the sea' series with a playful programme that pays homage to the strings. Prepare to be dazzled by our line-up of classical greats composed solely for the string section!
A musical showcase designed for all ages, LMP will perform all-time favourites such as Bach's Air on a G string, Britten's Simple Symphony and Holst's St. Paul's Suite, and a spirited and thrilling finale, will be joined on stage by over 100 instrumentalists from the Hastings Area Music Centre to perform Jeff Moore's 'Fiddler's Hill', a collaborative side-by-side piece composed for string players of all standards. This exciting community-led concert, which encompasses a large outreach project in the local community, including a vast number of school visits, will give young instrumentalists from Hastings Music Service the opportunity to show off their skills and play alongside a world-class orchestra in a performance that will be nothing short of spectacular. Bring the whole family along for this momentous occasion!
