Join us in celebrating the 1920s on Bexhill seafront and throughout Bexhill town centre on Saturday 22nd July 2017 and help us break the Charleston dance world record.
Watch the fabulous air display. Take in the 1920s music and dance on the lawns in front of the De La Warr Pavilion. Be amazed as our stunt performers re-enact a prohibition raid in Devonshire Road.
And, most importantly, come and make history with us as we break the Guinness World Record for the world's largest Charleston dance.
To join in the world record, you simply need to learn a short routine (YouTube video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3jctkcd0Go and dress as per Guinness's rules. These are:
Ladies: Plain dress, Headband, Feather Boa or Pearls
Gentlemen: Shirt, Trousers, Fedora Hat
NOTE: There will be Charleston routine workshops taking place on the day, every 30 mins from 10am.
We’re putting the roar into Bexhill Roaring 20s. Think back to 1902... Witness the incredible sight and sound of Michael Schumacher’s iconic 1992 Benetton F1 car, at the very position of the first motor race in Great Britain.
Along with the Italian Osella F1 car and a cavalcade of supercars, this will form a wonderful commemoration of Bexhill’s 1902 motor racing history and the great Bexhill 100 Festival of Motoring.
