Operatic highlights are accompanied by a string quintet performed by four world-class singers in the courtyard at Fairlight Hall.
Follow four characters' journeys through a kaleidoscope of arias, duets, and ensembles in this entertaining evening of opera and musicals, performed by four world-class singers and five fine chamber musicians.
Music by Handel, Mozart, Puccini, Bernstein and Cole Porter, plus some surprises and unusual gems. Recover from the emotional depth of the great quartet from Beethoven's Fidelio with the sheer pizzazz of the great final number from Verdi Falstaff and the caustic wit of Sondheim's lyrics.
The orchestral scores will be expertly arranged for string quintet, played by five of the finest chamber musicians in the UK.
The performance starts at 6pm which allows plenty of time for an extended picnic interval, during which you will be able to find a suitable spot to spread your blanket in the grounds of Fairlight Hall, one of the loveliest country estates in the county. Bring a hamper and your best picnic blanket and enjoy the evening in style.
Tickets are free for under-18s and £25 for adults.
