Oh what fun it is to ride on a steam-hauled Christmas train!
OUR YULETIDE TRAINS ENSURE THAT ADULTS CAN ENJOY THE LEAD UP TO CHRISTMAS TOO!
Trains will depart Tenterden at 2pm, 4pm and 6pm
We are famous for our Santa Specials, with generations of families visiting us since we started back in 1974. With a ride on the K&ESR having become a key Christmas feature in the diary for so many, we are offering adults a chance to enjoy a festive journey.
Arriving at Tenterden Town Station we invite you to soak up the relaxing and jolly atmosphere whilst enjoying a festive tipple, before boarding your festively decorated train. On board the train, you will be offered a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to purchase from our trolley service. This will be followed by a complimentary hot drink and a festive nibble, served at your seats on your return journey, as you meander through the beautiful wintery High Weald countryside. Why not add to your festive experience further by pre-booking a delicious cheese platter to enjoy on the train too! The journey will take you to Northiam, where the steam engine will take water before winding back to Tenterden. The return journey time is approximately 75 minutes.
Upon your arrival back at Tenterden, make the most of the Christmas attractions and enjoy a couple of rides on the Christmas Gallopers. There is plenty of opportunity to peruse our exciting new range of gifts, and mementos that are available in the station gift shop.
