This year’s summer project combines Shakespeare with a modern devised piece created by 1066 Youth Theatre.
The Voyage looks at where we find ourselves in 2021 after the most challenging 18 months in people’s lives and in the theatre. Using Shakespeare as a springboard, we have produced a thought-provoking and hopeful piece of theatre which combines theatrical skills, movement and storytelling.
We are thrilled to be presenting The Voyage as an outdoor theatre piece. We are in good company this year, as many theatres including the RSC, seek to find new ways to bring theatre back.
We have a talented group of actors aged 14-18 who will be workshopping, rehearsing and performing this new, exciting theatre piece.
Please bring picnic blankets (no chairs). If you have mobility issues, please contact the Stables Theatre.
And, of course, please be prepared for inclement weather!
