Add The Ballad of Red & the Wilding Wolf to your Itinerary

A red-hooded figure walks through a snowy forest as a wolf approaches along a pale, winding path.

About

Following extensive improvements to the Barn Theatre, we are delighted to announce they are now complete ahead of a grand reopening on 18 February! The theatre relaunches with The Bright Foundation's brand-new show, The Ballad of Red and the Wilding Wolf - a vibrant reimagining of Little Red Riding Hood (with connections to the museum's collection of puppets and antique toys).

About the show

The animals are angry. The people aren't listening. And somewhere in the woods, a Big Bad Wolf is on the prowl. Will the two sides clash, or can a little girl called Red find a way through?

Combining music, puppetry, and theatrical magic, this thoughtful retelling of Little Red Riding Hood explores familiar themes from new perspectives, delving a little deeper and meeting some new characters along the way.
