About

Ahoy and Avast ye scurrilous knaves!

Meet Captain Shaku this Hastings Pirate Weekender at Hastings Castle & Smugglers Adventure! Hear the amazing true story of The Diamond Ship and the richest hoard ever seized in the history of crime. This historic feat was kept secret and taken to the grave by almost all involved… until now!

On Saturday 15th, Shaku will be at Hastings Castle regaling us with tales from the briny deep within the walls of the ancient cliffside ruins with its stunning panoramic sea views.

On Sunday 16th, join Shaku 70 feet below ground for even more stories from the salty seas – at Smugglers Adventure; an amazing underground cave network of secret tunnels and vast caverns. Once used by the murderous smuggling gangs of the 18th century.

Please see the storytelling timetable for exact showtimes. The event is included as part of the attraction ticket price – no additional booking is required. Please note these sites are independent of one another and entrance to one site does not entitle admission to the other.
