Memory Mats: Rag Rugging with Debbie Siniska

Rag rug making was a thrift craft in the 'make do and mend' era and a great way to recycle your old clothing into something useful.
Come and learn the old fashioned techniques of hooky and proddy using traditional hand tools and recycled clothes, and make something tactile, and useful for your home.

Debbie Siniska is a textile artist, maker, teacher and author, and work wherever possible with recycled, reclaimed and vintage textiles to make rag rugs, banners and soft furnishings. I am also a felt maker and use the sustainable fibres of sheep's fleece to create my felt hats, bags, slippers, jackets, scarves and jewellery.

Saturday 26th January / 10.15am – 4pm / £50 or £90 for 2 / Suitable for 16+

Only 10 places available.

Please bring your own clothes to cut up and use backing material and tools provided* and tea & coffee provided. Please bring your own lunch.
