Learn how to carve and print your own Japanese woodblock inspired by geological charts and maps in this two-day workshop.
Japanese woodblock printing or Mokuhanga is a traditional Japanese relief printing process. It is a beautiful, non-toxic technique. It uses no solvents, just watercolour/pigment, starch paste and water and does not require a press, just a hand-held disc called a baren.
Led by artist and printmaker Fi Brown, participants will learn how create layered prints.
No experience necessary.
All materials and equipment will be provided.
