Add Meet the Haestingas: Founders of Early Hastings to your Itinerary

Historical reenactors walking along a woodland path with spears and cloaks, promoting Meet the Haestingas at Hastings Museum & Art Gallery

About

Join the Haestingas on the museum lawns for the weekend as they display the sights, sounds and smells that would have been familiar to the early medieval people who founded Hastings.

Expect to see (and smell) fish and food being prepared.

Merchants visiting these shores will be displaying goods traded from near and far.

Skilled Craftspeople will show how materials are bent to their will, and hear the clash of steel on steel with a display of weapons and warfare.
