This tour of Hastings Old Town, the premier ancient Cinque Port starts on the West Hill, site of the first Norman castle in England. We then wander down the hill through some of the iconic twittens and cat creeps that are part of the Old Town's charm. Popular with visitors since 1066 and especially during the Georgian and Victorian eras. Find about about some of the many notable artists, writers, women doctors and other celebrities who came to visit. Enjoy the range of architecture contained between the two hills that frame Hastings Old Town.
