Hastings RNLI Lifeboat Station invites you to join in the first ever December Dip taking place in Hastings on Sunday, December 15th, from 9am to 12.00pm
An exhilarating, festive plunge into the sea to support the RNLI's mission to save lives. Participants will brave the chilly 11°C waters, in waves starting at 10:30 am. Those that would rather stay on dry land can enjoy spectating, refreshments will be available to be purchased and the RNLI shop will be open to purchase some festive goodies for friends and family.
Fancy dress is optional but encouraged! A free hot drink will be awaiting all those taking part, along with a sweet treat, after their dip.
This family-friendly event welcomes participants 12 years and up, but all those taking part must be able to swim. And do you need to completely immerse yourself and swim to qualify having taken part? – absolutely not, the clue is in the title, you can literally dip (just a toe) if you wish.
This exciting new event is to raise vital funds and awareness and we hope that each participant will aim to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship. With the entry fee being only £7 per person, this really is a wonderful way to support the RNLI.
If you can't decide now if you want to take part, but wake up on the morning of December 15th and want to take part, you can head down and register on the day.
