Bonfire societies from all over Sussex come together to march through the streets of Hastings in a procession of drums, flares and flaming torchlights. Along with a huge bonfire on the beach, the burning of the effigy and a spectacular firework display, the event commemorates the Battle of Hastings, and of course the traditional gunpowder plot of 1605.
Timings based on previous years:
Procession start: 7.15pm at White Rock
Bonfire & Fireworks: 9pm
