Hastings Bonfire Celebrations

About

Bonfire societies from all over Sussex come together to march through the streets of Hastings in a procession of drums, flares and flaming torchlights. Along with a huge bonfire on the beach, the burning of the effigy and a spectacular firework display, the event commemorates the Battle of Hastings, and of course the traditional gunpowder plot of 1605.

Rough Timings

Procession start: 7.15pm at White Rock
Bonfire & Fireworks: 9pm

Support Hastings Borough Bonfire Society

The Hastings bonfire is only made possible by the hard work of volunteers and their fundraising efforts throughout the year. Don't forget to bring your pennies for the buckets to make sure that the event can continue in the future.
You can also support the Crowdfunding campaign.
