Hastings Bonfire Celebrations

About

Please do not attend if you are experiencing COVID symptoms or if you have been asked to self-isolate.

Bonfire societies from all over Sussex come together to march through the streets of Hastings in a procession of drums, flares and flaming torchlights. Along with a huge bonfire on the beach, the burning of the effigy and a spectacular firework display, the event commemorates the Battle of Hastings, and of course the traditional gunpowder plot of 1605.

Support Hastings Borough Bonfire Society

The Hastings bonfire is only made possible by the hard work of volunteers and their fundraising efforts throughout the year. Due to Covid-19, this has not been possible. Please donate generously at the event or support their Crowdfunder campaign here
