Hastings Arts Forum Exhibitions: Teri Walsh: Of Trees & Roots + Mark Glassman: Shingle Beach

About

Open Evening: Fri 12 July 6:30-8:30pm. All welcome. Teri Walsh produces mixed media multi-disciplined work (2D and 3D) using her own photographs as the source material and exploring recurrent themes. "Of Trees and Roots" looks at the form, structure and surface texture of trees, including trees with externalized/above ground (and even aerial) roots. The works in this exhibition include etchings, drawings, screenprints (including some with embedded woodcuts) and some "rubbings". ...Mark Glassman's recent work is inspired by his immediate environment of Seaford and Newhaven - the shingle beach, cliffs, the landscapes, the sea and people within the landscapes. Glassman has had solo exhibitions at Farley Farm House (Chiddingly) and the Hop Gallery (Lewes). He has been selected for the East Sussex Open at the Towner Gallery, Eastbourne , the Threadneedle Prize and the Discerning Eye exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London.
