Hastings Castle will be choc-ful of eggs as part of a fun Easter hunt on Saturday March 31st from 10am.
Hundreds of chocolate eggs are set to be hidden around the grounds and castle and children will have the tasty task of tracking them all down.
The event debuted in 2016 and after an eggs-traordinary turn out over the past couple of years, is returning in 2018.
Organisers are also offering the first 100 children through the door a FREE medium sized boxed Easter egg.
Entry is £3 for children under 12 and £1 per adult which includes taking part in the hunt for up to an hour but does not include watching the 1066 Story show or staying in the castle beyond that time. Babes in arms are free of charge. Please note this event is cash only.
There is no need to book in advance as you can just turn up on the day. Organisers are advising people to wear sensible footwear as the ground is uneven and could be wet.
The event will only be cancelled in the worst weather and organisers will update visitors via social media. The Castle does have an occupancy limit so guests are advised to arrive and queue in plenty of time to ensure entry.
The under 5’s hunt will begin at 10.15am with the main event starting at 10.30am.
Hastings Castle is forever linked with the most famous date in English history - 1066. The castle opens daily from April 1st until October 31st.
