Bexhill Street Market (previously the Anglo / French Market) is run by Bexhill Lions with the support of Bexhill-on-Sea Town Council, and has been going for several years after being started by the Chamber of Commerce.
It is held on a Saturday and Sunday twice a year, on the 3rd weekends of May and September, on Devonshire Roar which is closed to traffic during the market.
It includes a variety of local traders, including antique/retro giftware, soft furnishings, jewellery, knitted goods, plants and handmade sweets. There are also traders from France, providing Cheese, Olives, Sweetmeats and Street Food.
It brings people into Bexhill to not only wander around and purchase from the stalls, but also to visit the local independent shops that sell a variety of goods, also the Bexhill Museum and the Art Deco De La Warr Pavilion.
